This is my entry to the Michelin Challenge Design 2017. I wanted to make a good looking Le Mans concept car for a while now, and this was a perfect opportunity for me.
The objective was to make an overall winner for the year 2030 24h endurance race of Le Mans, so only 14 years from now. I had lots of concepts in my mind, but at the end I did something more conservative. These innovations are already available, but they are only conceptuals (nanoFlowcell, bent displays, active aerodynamics). Hopefully a few years from now we can see them in action.
I used Modo902 for all the elements and PS for texturing. The dirt is half procedural, half hand painted. Modo was great in every milestone on the journey (modeling, texturing, lighting, compositing). Even though I spent more time working on this than I wanted to, but I enjoyed every minute of it!
