Pink Sapphire Tension Ring

This personal project is an exploration in materials and lighting, an update of what I originally created in Strata 3D back in 2013. I wanted to bring more detail and depth into the shots, as well as very minor polishing and refraction imperfections. The inner shank has been given a comfort fit and slots added to hold the edge of the gem. The stone has been updated to a modern brilliant cut, replacing the deeper old style. I remodelled everything in Modo and rendered out using the internal render engine.
