This is an image produced with hi-res height data and aerial photography (Paul Morin-USGS) for a textbook for McGraw-Hill. The thing about Modo is that I can use real world lighting and global illumination on an illustration like this helping to produce very realistic images quickly and easily - using a simple single poly flat plane. The resulting images are rich and compelling for what is normally a very dry subject. (No pun intended St. George!)
