The sixth (Didn't think I'd get this far) reimagining of my ongoing Studio Ghibli fest, Finding Nemo! I mean Ponyo!
Lighting turned out to be a bit of a pain with this one, unsure why to be honest... might of just been the complexity of the scene that was making me feel a little seasick and didn't pay attention to some of the rigs, ha!
So yeah, there was a bit of retouching involved to take out some of the harshness of the casting shadows, playing about with getting tonal values right. But the softening definietly helps in the background to allow for character definition.
Was great to see the response on instagram too, Ghibli Museum featured it and racked up close to 20,000 likes! Woop, was really pleased.
