i watched this dvd by the great josh nizzi (http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/store/product/540/Robot-Design-with-Josh-Nizzi) and was impressed how easy it is to make great fast robot designs, so heres my first try, i modelled a library of over 40 different mechanical parts and used it via the layout feature from modo, the actual robot took just a day for modelling, simple rigging, shading and rendering in modo at 4k and 10 passes, post was something like 8-10 hours.
